If there is a better product - highly unlikely - I hope I will hear. It does exactly what it says it will do: it covers up scratches. A year later, after normal wear and tear on the floor, the scratches will show up again. So you just put some older English Scratch Remover down to (not hard). Floor looks new again. I like this particular product so much that I chose to give as a "heating" as a gift for a friend who was just back your old carpet to replace a floor made of oak. 6 of 6 people found the following review helpful. This is the best product I used for the restoration of a wooden cabinet finished look and we're using for years and recommend that penetrates wood and provides a better appearance and better protection for wood that has been physically harmed or threatened. English Scratch Cover-old is the next best thing to finish, since heat can restore the look of wood. For the worst damage we have found works best to apply freely penetrate the wood and leave for a while before cleaning the excess. Similar to how they would apply a stain. While the liquid is dark enough, we found that no power on light woods. We make use of both products and dark and actually bought more family members to use. It works very well with wood cabinets and trim to cover minor scratches and brighten dull looking cabinets in a dark wood and light wood formula. For some reason I was having trouble finding the formula for clear wood at all my local stores, so I decided to just order it on line. I recommend to look for jobs on bare wood.
